NIKOLAS JURETIC

Nikolas Juretic, ladies and gentlemen!

Nikolas is without doubt the new up and coming star i Friuli. With experience from all over the world, he is now farming his old family owned vineyards in the small city of Cormons in the collio area directly at the Slovenian border.

The vineyards, Montona, Pradis and Bosc di Sot is all farmed organically and also respects the principles of permaculture. The soil in the region is called Ponca or Flysch and is dominated by limestone, marl and sandstone, the perfect mix for viticulture. Nikolas farms around 1,5 hectares mainly with indigenous grapes like Tocai Friulano, Malvasia Istriana and Ribolla Gialla with an average age over 50 years.

All grapes are of course harvested by hand and left to macerate before fermentation. Depending on the grape, it either finishes fermentation in old wood or concrete vats.

The wines are elegant, pure and extremely longlasting in the taste. Balance, minerality, complexity and acidity is perfectly matched together!

Extremely limited wines as the total production is only around 6000 bottles annually.

Don't think too long if you want to get your hands on his amazing wines!
